Registration System
What can I do with the Registration System tool?
The PoppyDog Registration System is a tool that you can use in your web site to allow your visitors to register and create an account with you. The Registration System provides a number of links that you can insert into your web site which allows members to view their profiles (account details) and view the details of other members registered with you. The Registration System also enables you to set up a members area on your web site which only your registered members have access to by logging on:

The Registration System is also fully integrated with certain other PoppyDog tools such as ForumBoard Builder and Survey Builder. This integration means that you can, for example, configure your forum boards so that visitors must register with you first before being allowed to post messages.
A Simple Members Area
Setting up a members area is really easy:

Simple to do:
- Create your Home page and Members Area home page
- Add a link on your home page to the Members Area home page
- Insert a line of JavaScript into the Members Area home page (we provide this)
Inserting a login box into your web pages
As well as providing various links such as login/logoff etc we also provide code which allows you to insert a login box into your web pages. Once someone has logged on the box is no longer visible:

Customizing the registration forms/pages
The registration pages can consist of up to three forms but you can decide to have only 1 or 2 if you wish. The third page can be a survey with your own questions:

By including a survey in the registration pages, you can collect statistical information on your registered members:
Members Directory
You can allow your registered members to view the public details of all the other registered members:

Members can choose not to be included in the directory
Changing web page content depending on whether some is logged in or not
We provide you with information which will allow you to use JavaScript to determine if someone is logged on or not, and hence change the content on your web pages accordingly:

Create private membership clubs
You can create private clubs and add selected usernames to the club. Then you can restrict access to web pages to only members of that club:

Simple to do:
- Create the club in the registration tool
- Add usernames to the club
- Insert a line of JavaScript into the pages you want to restrict access to
Create public subscriptions (clubs)
Lets say that you have a newsletter and before visitors can view the newsletter you want them to subscribe to it so that you know which of your members and how many of them are interested in the newsletter.

If you create a subscription club, you can obtain the list of email address of the members who have subscribed to the club:
